Touch of Health - Practice for holistic therapy
Recently a small practice for holistic therapy opened up in CrossFit Batteraof Maastricht. As an extra service to our athletes to become a better version of themselves. We would like to introduce Tina and her practice Touch of Health.
In recent years there has been a greater need, in the western world, for specialists in holistic medicine. This is because we are becoming increasingly more aware that we are an inseparable part of nature itself.
Traditional western medicine, (physiotherapy, paramedical therapists, and other medical professionals) and we, the general public, are continuously confronted with complex medical issues that cannot always be solved by a specific specialism in conventional medicine.
Consequently there has been an increasing need for various medical disciplines to make a coordinated effort, to find a holistic solution to enigmatic medical problems.
The possibilities within holistic medicine are increasingly being recognized for their potential to solve medical problems that conventional medicine can only treat symptomatically.
For centuries homeopathic substances, massage, acupressure, reflexology and other holistic techniques have been used to fight illness.
Every person is unique. This bio-individuality, is reflected in the way that a person reacts to their environment, food, and stress.
Many illnesses occur through a disharmony between body and mind.
A holistic therapist endeavors to find the root of the problem, and together with the client, sets up a therapy plan to deal with not only the symptoms of the ailment but also the cause.
Holistic medicine makes use of a combination of agents and therapies with 'nature' as a base.
